Evgeny Nasonov CV

Nasonov Eugeny Lvovich, born 1948, Doctor of Medical Sciences (1986) Professor with specialty “internal diseases” (1991), corresponding member of Rus.Acad.Med.Sci. (2000), acting member (academician) of Rus.Acad.Med.Sci. (2007).

Beginning from 1991 he is heading the Chair of Rheumatology with the course of pediatric rheumatology of I.M.Sechenov Moscow State University. From 2001 – he is Director of Federal State Budgetary Institution “Research Institute of Rheumatology” under the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, Moscow, Russian Federation (FSBI “RIR” RAMS).

Basic directions of E.L.Nasonov’s researches are in the field of interdisciplinary problems of rheumatology and immunopathology of human diseases.

E.L.Nasonov carried out a number of complex studies, resulting in new data on the character of immunity disturbance in the inflammatory rheumatic diseases which contributed into forming of up-to-date scientific notions about immuno-inflammatory nature of these diseases; principally new directions of researches are being developed which deal with modern approaches to early diagnostics and anti-inflammatory therapy of rheumatic diseases, prevention and treatment of osteoporosis, role of immune disturbances in the development of cardiovascular pathology on the model of inflammatory rheumatic diseases

E.L.Nasonov headed or consulted the maintaining of 8 doctor and 37 candidate dissertations.

He is the author of more than 650 publications including 14 monographies.

E.L.Nasonov in the chairman of Scientific Council of RAMS and Ministry of Health and Social Development of Russian Federation in rheumatology, President of Association of Rheumatologists of Russia, member of American College of Rheumatology, deputy of chief editor of the journal “Scientific-practical rheumatology”. He is the member of editorial board of the journals “RAMS Herald”, “Clinical Medicine”, and international journal of European Antirheumatic League “Clinical Rheumatology”.
